How to Reset Your MacBook Air or iPad if It Becomes Unresponsive
If your MacBook Air or iPad becomes unresponsive or frozen during use, performing a restart can help resolve the issue quickly and get your device working again. Restarting Your iPad
To reset your iPad if it is frozen or not responding, follow these steps:
- Press and hold the Top button and either volume button simultaneously until the power off slider appears on the screen.
- Drag the slider to turn off your iPad completely.
- Once the device is off, press and hold the Top button again until you see the Apple logo, then release the button. The iPad will start up normally.
Restarting Your MacBook Air
If your MacBook Air is unresponsive, here are the steps to force a restart:
- Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds until the screen goes black and the MacBook turns off.
- Wait a few seconds after it powers off.
- Press the power button again to turn your MacBook Air back on. You should see the Apple logo as it starts up.
